About the Artist
Xanthe Wyse is a New Zealand artist.
Her early memories include painting at an easel at kindergarten. She won an art competition at age 10, judged by a local professional artist. She is passionate about art as therapy and has recently taken the steps to take her art from hobby to semi-professional (part-time but professional standard). Xanthe has had two solo art as therapy exhibitions in her local community, which were well received. |
After much experimentation plus some tuition from professional artists, Xanthe now specialises in acrylics on canvas.
Her art studio is her cramped bedroom and she appreciates the feedback and support to continue her art journey.
She is ready to move on from her therapeutic and experimental process artworks to creating fine art. She currently works part-time due to limitations with her disabilities, which include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
She is excited to build and share a new collection of paintings inspired by nature. Her new collection is expected to include birds, flowers and landscapes inspired by her surroundings in New Zealand.
